-About the Attractions- -Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Yunlin Caoling Route: This shuttle primarily connects Douliu Railway Station to the Caoling Scenic Area. Located in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, and straddling Chiayi’s Meishan Township, Nantou’s Zhushan Township, and Gukeng Township, the basin-shaped Caoling Scenic Area is surrounded by mountains and features unique landforms. It is renowned for the "Ten Scenic Wonders of Caoling," including Penglai Waterfall, Cliff of Autumn and Spring, Steep Wall of Heroism, Water Curtain Cave, Frog Rock, Wonder Cave, Despair Valley, Tongxin Waterfall, Lianzhu Pool, and Qingxi Secret Stream. Other nearby attractions along the Qingshui River include Meishan Canyon, Ten-Thousand-Year Canyon (Shimankeng Canyon), and the 921 Earthquake Memorial Park (Caoling Geopark).

-Wuyuan Liangjiao (Five Yuan Two Jiao): Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,600 meters, this site features a series of pavilions and green corridors woven from Moso bamboo. Enclosed by lush bamboo forests, it feels like stepping into a classic martial arts scene. Nearby attractions include the Formosan Wood-Oil Tree, Yunling Hill, Cedar Forest Trail, Moso Bamboo Trail, Elevated Bamboo Walkway, and Lumber Trail. The area offers breathtaking views of Cryptomeria and bamboo forests. As the meeting point of Yunlin, Chiayi, and Nantou counties, Yunling Hill is one of the ultimate spots for taking in sunrises, sunsets, and sea of clouds!

-Dong Bi Villa: Established in Caoling for over 30 years, Dong Bi Villa commands prime views of Yunlin’s highest primeval forest canopy. Cloud mist blankets the valley before noon each day, with frequent views of rare cloud waterfalls. When arctic cold snaps hit Taiwan, abundant atmospheric moisture occasionally blankets the mountaintops in white snow—a rare winter spectacle in Yunlin. Dong Bi Villa boasts picturesque scenery year-round, rivaling even the beauty of Xitou.

-Caoling Shibi Trail: Bask in the soft sunlight filtering through the lush canopy as you breathe in pure natural phytoncides. With the melodious songs of birds echoing through the cedar woods, you'll feel embraced by nature in a paradise reminiscent of a forgotten valley—a perfect weekend getaway for the whole family.
